Mandeep graduated from the Constructed Textiles (Mixed Media) MA course at the Royal College of Art in 2007 having previously completed the Textile Design BA (Hons) course at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in 2004.

Mandeep's work examines indulgence and over-consumption of food, colour, pattern, texture and she breathes a joyous sense of life and optimism into her work. Mandeep makes large scale, brightly coloured, sumptuous and celebratory work, and her new collection of work is architectural in scale.

Also, culture, religion and tradition influence her work and being of Sikh heritage yet born and educated in the West she questions the ways in which Indian and western aesthetics can co-exist and innovatively partake in an exciting design dialogue.

Mandeep was selected to show at Tent 2007 as part of 100% Design at the Old Truman Brewery, where she showed a range of hand embroidered Perspex stools titled I Want More.

Mandeep was chosen by LPT Chair Paulene Hamilton; Zoe Whitley, LPT Board member and a Curator of Contemporary Programmes at the V&A Museum, and LPT Programme Co-ordinator Sian Weston.
