Information for visitors
Access to London Printworks Trust is currently limited. We are working hard to ensure that both our premises and services are fully accessible. In the meantime we recommend that you contact us in advance with your access requirements so we can support you in making your visit as enjoyable and productive as possible.
From Brixton Road, Brighton Terrace is the road with Natwest Bank on one corner and Red Records on the other. Piano House is approx. 15 metres on the left hand side of the road. It is a large red brick building with large black iron gates. Enter the gates into a paved courtyard and London Printworks Trust is on the first floor.
Saturdays Please note that for security reasons on Saturdays the iron gates are closed and you will need to use the entry phone system on the wall outside, so we can you let you in. We recommend that Disabled visitors contact us in advance of your visit, so we can ensure that you don’t encounter any problems entering the building.
Parking
There is currently no parking available on the premises for visitors. There are parking meters outside the building, which are suitable for short visits, maximum 4-hour stay, but watch out for the posse of parking attendants! The nearest public car park is the Multi-storey car park located in Canterbury Crescent, Brixton.
• Parking for Disabled People We regret that currently there is no disabled parking on the premises. There are metered parking bays directly outside the building on Brighton Terrace. Blue Badge holders are exempt from charges.
• Cyclists There are a limited number of cycle racks in the courtyard entrance outside our premises, which you can use free of charge. Please note we cannot accept any responsibility for theft or damage to any property left on the premises.
Entering the building
London Printworks Trust is located in a multi-occupancy building. We are located on the first floor, which can be accessed either by a lift or two flights of stairs. The lift is an old goods lift and is not fully accessible. If you need to use the lift to access our premises, please contact us in advance of your visit so that we can assist you.
Toilets
There are separate male and female toilets located on the first floor of the building, regrettably neither of which are currently fully accessible. Also, currently we don’t have any baby changing facilities.
Use of the equipment in the print workshop
If you are visiting to use the print workshop or attend one of our courses, due to the specialist nature of some of the equipment, some people may not be able to use all of the equipment independently. We have expert technicians who are there to support all users, and will help you to complete your job or to get the most out of the course. Again we recommend that you contact us in advance with your access requirements.
We have a portable induction loop on site.
